The Union of Professional Engineers in Finland cooperates with Finnish sports teams, educational institutions, events, museums, exhibitions – and now also film. Actors sharing the same values as the Union of Professional Engineers in Finland have been selected as partners.
The Union of Professional Engineers in Finland wants to support activities that inspire Finnish sports teams to championships, encourage young people to move and inspire schoolchildren to use robotics. It also supports exhibition activities that make the field of technology familiar to all Finns.
The Union has selected sports with a strong technological involvement as its partners. The partnerships are mainly at the sports federation level, but there are also girls’ and women’s team clubs among the cooperation partners. In addition to supporting sports federations and clubs, the Union of Professional Engineers in Finland also participates in advocacy cooperation in a justified manner.
The Union of Professional Engineers in Finland is often visible in partner events. Competitions and events are a great place to meet upcoming engineers – and perhaps even upcoming Union members.
The Finnish Orienteering Federation supports the conditions for orienteering clubs to offer high-quality competition, youth and fitness orienteering activities. In addition, it monitors the interests of the orienteers and creates the prerequisites for the growth of orienteering and takes care of the internal and external communication of the sport.
Approximately 45,000 adults and 15,000 children and young people regularly engage in orienteering in Finland. The Finnish Orienteering Federation has approximately 340 member clubs. The types of orienteering include orienteering, skiing orienteering, cycling orienteering and precision orienteering.
With the cooperation of the Finnish Orienteering Federation, the Union of Professional Engineers in Finland wants to highlight the importance of technology, logical thinking, problem-solving skills and mathematical competence in sports. Through this cooperation, the Union also wants to emphasize the importance of exercise and outdoor activities in occupational well-being.
The Finnish Floorball Federation is a national sports organization that supervises, promotes and guides the interest in and development of floorball. The Floorball Federation includes registered associations practising floorball as well as district and regional organizations formed by associations that have been approved as members by the Board of the Federation. The Floorball Federation has more than 700 member clubs.
The Union of Professional Engineers in Finland is the main partner of the Floorball Inssi-Divari series and is also visible in the F League. The Union of Professional Engineers in Finland also supports floorball as a hobby and junior activities.
Through this cooperation, the Union of Professional Engineers in Finland wants to highlight engineering studies and opportunities for combining sports careers and studies. The cooperation also aims to highlight the importance of technology and mathematical competence in sports.
The Finnish Ice Hockey Federation’s championship league, or Mestis, is Finland’s second highest ice hockey league. Mestis is an extensive league with 13 teams from all over Finland.
In cooperation with Mestis, the Union of Professional Engineers in Finland will be visible in match events and extensively in communication channels.
Through the cooperation, the Union of Professional Engineers in Finland wants to highlight two important themes. The aim of the cooperation is to accentuate the importance of exercise and sport in maintaining well-being at work. In addition, the cooperation aims to promote engineering studies as an alternative for young people and to communicate the importance of studies in addition to sport.
The Robotics Campus is a competence community of the future that serves companies, students and in-service educators. The Campus consists of business operators, Häme University of Applied Sciences, Hyria, Sykli, Riihimäen Tilat and Kehitys Oy and the City of Riihimäki. This is a completely exceptional project in which robotics studies have been added to the comprehensive school and upper secondary education program at Riihimäki.
The Union of Professional Engineers in Finland is involved in supporting the VEX Robotics Finnish Championships organized by Roboedu ry and the City of Riihimäki.
The Helsinki International Horse Show is an annual international horse race in Helsinki. The Helsinki Horse Show is also Finland’s largest indoor arena event.
Through cooperation, the Union of Professional Engineers in Finland wants to inspire students to study mathematics and natural sciences and meet young people who are thinking about study options.
EräViikingit is a floorball club based in Helsinki.
The cooperation with EräViikingit is particularly visible through the EräViikingit women’s league team. The collaboration will be visible, for example, through a video series of company visits.
The aim of the cooperation between EräViikingit and the Union of Professional Engineers in Finland is to encourage young athletes to explore the study options in the technology sector and to actively build a dual career alongside sport. The goal is to encourage a suitable combination of studying and working life during a sporting career. Cooperation with the EräViikingit women’s league team in particular aims to raise awareness of the engineering fields among girls and women for future career choices.
The Museum of Technology is a national special museum. Cooperation through the Museum of Technology happens particularly through training and events.
Science Center Heureka is a family-friendly science center focusing on technology and science in Vantaa.
Through the cooperation, the Union of Professional Engineers in Finland will be concretely visible in Heureka at the soapbox car stand. Through the cooperation, members of the Union of Professional Engineers in Finland will get a discount for entrance tickets to Heureka.
The Union of Professional Engineers in Finland is the main partner of the film made from the popular Luottomies series. The All in movie will premiere in February 2024.
Through this cooperation, the Union of Professional Engineers in Finland wants to remind people of the importance of working life partnerships in the event of career problems.
