Become a space professional in Our Journey in Space exhibition. Opened on Saturday 10 February 2024 at the Finnish Science Centre Heureka, the Our Journey in Space exhibition reminds us that Earth is our best spaceship – let’s take good care of it! The exhibition sponsors include the Union of Professional Engineers in Finland, Linde Gas, and the Radiation and Nuclear Safety Authority in Finland (STUK). The exhibition will be on display at Heureka until January 2026.
In addition the popular nerdy derby car area in Heureka’s Idea Workshop is dedicated to the Union of Professional Engineers in Finland throughout the contract period. The Union will also organize events for members at Heureka’s premises.
Membership benefit
Members of the Union of Professional Engineers in Finland receive a 50% discount on a regular-priced adult admission ticket to Heureka (normally EUR 24). You can redeem your benefit at the ticket office by showing your membership card on the ILRY Mobiili app. The benefit is personal.
Build your own nerdy derby car
One of Heureka’s most popular attractions is a building site for miniature derby cars. This task requires science, technique, and testing – and a tad of engineering spirit. This site contains a wooden track where you can test the features of your car and time the car on the track – and above all, try to get your car through the track in one piece. At the nerdy derby car site, you can also meet the Union’s robot friend IN-551.
Answer and win a visiting experience behind the scenes of Heureka
Participate in solving a brain teaser. Among the participants, ten lucky winners will receive tickets to Heureka and get to see how the new exhibition is built behind the scenes. The time of the prize visit will be agreed on with the winners separately. A winner may bring one extra person with them. The winners will be drawn on January 13, 2025.
You don’t have to be a member of the Union of Professional Engineers in Finland to participate in the prize draw. Only one entry per person will be considered. The information provided will remain in the sole use of the Union of Professional Engineers in Finland and will not be disclosed to third parties. Personal data is collected and stored temporarily for the purpose of conducting the prize draw.
The Union of Professional Engineers in Finland will publish the names of the winners on its website and in the Insinööri magazine. By participating in the prize draw, the participant grants the organizer the right to publish their name after the prize has been drawn. The winner will be contacted by email. If the winner does not respond to the message within 14 days, a new winner will be drawn, and the previous winner will no longer be entitled to the prize. The winner can refuse the prize, in which case, a new winner will be drawn. The prize cannot be exchanged for cash.
