The Union of Engineering Students
The Union of Professional Engineers in Finland is joined via membership associations. For students, the membership association is the Union of Engineering Students. The Union of Engineering Students is a national membership association of the Union of Professional Engineers in Finland, founded in 1955 to represent technical students in both polytechnic schools and the trade unions. The Union of Engineering Students has 24 local associations, which are run by hundreds of students across Finland.

Board of Directors
The Board of Directors is responsible of the daily activities of The Union of Engineering Students. Each member of the Board also acts as a support person for certain local associations. The Board furthers the status of the Engineering students and the student members of the Union. The Board works in close cooperation with the Union of Professional Engineers of Finland.
Lobbying of Engineering students
The Board's lobbying team is responsible for all the lobbying activities of The Union of Engineering Students. Lobbying includes active following of politics and having an impact on future policies. The lobbying team also supports the local associations and encourages them on local lobbying.
Supporting the local associations
The Union of Engineering students supports the activities of all local associations. Board members work as a point of contact for local associations. The Union of Engineering students offers the local associations e.g. training, workshops, advice and help on running the association.
